Ok, so Sacky was right. Putting the baby in the car with a biscuit works and I can play my cello for a little while.

Heh, glad you're feeling better and getting a chance to play. I know an "I'm totally overwhelmed with everything, ahhhhhh!" rant when I see one, and blogs are good places for those. I just tend to spew them forth in a teary, rambling mess. At least yours was nice and typed.
